Several days later... .
Krys got her school report book back. She didn't do well. Hmmm... disappointment I would say, about her results. 70+ for English and Maths, 80+ for Science, flunk her Chinese but after some superb adjustment by the teachers, she got 50+ for her Chinese, a pass. Though the results were poor, I wasn't angry with her. What's done cannot be undone. Guess I have to do more for her for the next year. Krys is not a stupid gir. It's just that she mixes with the wrong companion and her attitude towards schoolwork gets distracted easily. Iam not going to blame her for this, every one of us go through this phase. I just have to find the right way to guide her. She promised me she will improve herself on all fronts, her behavior, her character, her attitude... and I believe she can do it. I will use all my love and patience as an effort to guild her back to the right path. If all else fails, blame me... don't blame her. She's just a child... ..

Today got home early(took 1/2 day leave) as my maid Janice was developing rashes. I was worried that she may not be failing well, so I rush back to access the situation to see whether she needs to see a doctor, or whether she needs rest, so that with me around, I can take over her duties to look after Krys. From the looks of it, I don't think I will be able to attend a Farewell Dinner organised by CNB for our retiring AD ENF, Mr Peter Lim.

Many people dislike him and run away from him everytime they saw him, because they say he talks too much and they cannot stand it. But I always enjoyed his presence when I used to work in HQ and often chanced upon meeting him. Yes, he does talk a lot, but in his words, there were many hidden advices that not many people took note of. I learnt a lot from him, he had actually imparted me a lot of lessons in life(without himself knowing). Since I won't be attending the dinner organised for him tonight, I will not have the chance to thank him for everything. But in my heart, he will always be the fatherly figure of the bureau who is not appreciated by people but deeply respected by me. Salute to you, Sir! Hope your health don't pull you down!
